Dear Members

Our next function, a “Wright Guid” Supper, will be held on Saturday 1 October, 6.30 pm for 7 pm at the home of this year’s President, Bill Wright, White Gates, Cokes Farm Lane, Chalfont St Giles.

The cost per person for the buffet supper and a glass of wine or soft drink is £10. Please let me know, no later than Wednesday 28 September, if you plan to attend so we know how much food to prepare. Please feel free to bring any of your Scottish friends who may be interested in joining the Association (qualification for membership is by marriage or descent – birth in Scotland is not essential!)

Our Scottish Country Dancing evenings recommence in the Amersham Free Church at 8 pm this Wednesday 7 September. Little or no experience of Scottish country dancing is required as all our dances are walked through thoroughly prior to dancing.

May I remind the bridge players among you of the Association’s Charity Bridge Drive to be held on Thursday 17 November. Please contact Ella Munro (tel 01494 864683) to book your table. Donations of items for the raffle and table prizes and cakes, biscuits etc for the tea will be gratefully received – again let Ella know what you are contributing.
